Problem
- Condensate drained due to fear of contamination.

- Increased heat load on cooling tower.

- Increased ETP cost.
Objective
To optimise the steam and condensate system of a multiutility reactor (MUR), where utilities like raw water, chilled/hot water, brine and steam are used.
Solution
Reactor block-wise condensate contamination detection system (CCDS) with TDS/pH based systems to ensure maximum pure condensate recovery.

This system ensures effective segregation of pure and impure condensate, enhanced CRF in MUR section, reduction in make up feed water and reduction of effluent load in ETP.
Benefits
- Only pure condensate is pumped to the feed water tank.

- Reduced soft water make up in boiler feed water.

- Reduced effluent load to ETP.

- Reduced heat load on cooling tower.

- Condensate recovery factor enhanced by 8%.
