On November 25, 2025, the village of Varale in Chakan witnessed a significant milestone: the inauguration of the Forbes Healthcare Foundation’s Medicare Centre. The event brought together community members, Gram Panchayat representatives, and dignitaries from Forbes Marshall, all joining hands to celebrate the launch of this important healthcare initiative.
Mrs. Pooja Buttepatil, Sarpanch of Varale, along with Mrs. Ujwala Chavan, Gram Panchayat representative, graced the inauguration as village dignitaries and extended their wholehearted support. Dr. Deepak Gore, Uma Tiwari Dayal, Rajendra Bhide, Bobby Kuriakose, and Bina Joshi also attended the event.
Established to serve migrant workers, their families, and the villagers of Varale and neighbouring areas, this Medicare centre is designed to ensure dependable, accessible, and compassionate primary healthcare. With a team of qualified doctors, the facility will offer free medical consultations, basic blood tests, and essential medicines; helping families receive timely care without financial strain.
More than just a medical facility, the Forbes Healthcare Foundation’s Medicare Centre aims to build a community-focused health support system that encourages preventive health practices, early care-seeking, and long-term well-being.
