    Forbes Marshall has always believed in the philosophy of contributing and giving back to the community it operates in. Thus when the factory was originally set up in Kasarwadi Pune in 1958,

    Darius Forbes felt it was insufficient to merely purchase land from the farmers who were the original owners of the land; it was necessary to now actively and positively contribute to the community the company would be operating in.

    So the first jobs in the company were offered to relatives of the farmers who were then trained for operation and machining skills. In Kasarwadi, street lighting was provided and basic sanitation facilities were looked into.

    1. 1926 -

      It all began in 1926

      when J N Marshall & Co, a forerunner of Forbes Marshall, started supplying accessories to a thriving textile industry in Ahmedabad. This marked the beginning of a legacy in steam engineering and instrumentation that will be carried on for years to come.

    2. 1946 -

      Shifted its focus to Energy Conservation

      Forbes Marshall's shifted its focus to Energy Conservation by entering into the distribution of products for the effective and efficient use of steam.

    3. 1958 -

      The first manufacturing

      the first manufacturing unit stood tall in Kasarwadi, Pune. Today, Forbes Marshall has manufacturing facilities in four locations across India, the newest one in Chakan, Pune, under the Mega Project Schh3e of the Government of Maharashtra.

      In the same year, Forbes Marshall entered in a tie up with Cochran boilers for selling packaged boilers.

    4. 1959 -

      Creation of Spirax Marshall

      Saw the creation of Spirax Marshall, a joint venture with Spirax, UK. Together, we began manufacturing steam engineering products.

    5. 1962 -

      Expertise gained through studying process plants

      In 1962 (1961 check on 2015 acquires the entire shareholding), building on the expertise gained through studying hundreds of process plants and giving recommendations for improvh3ents, Forbes Marshall entered into the field of control instrumentation. A range of world class pH analyzers was introduced in a joint venture with Cambridge Instruments, UK. Forbes Marshall also entered into venture with Polymetron, France, to manufacture a complete range of water quality analysers.

    6. 1984 -

      Forbes Marshall join forces with Shinkawa

      ( 1984- Marshall JV) saw Forbes Marshall join forces with Shinkawa, Japan to introduce vibration monitoring systh3s to provide complete early warning systh3s for potential problh3s in turbines and other rotating equipment.

    7. 1985 -

      The following year

      we introduced a range of control valves and desuperheating stations in collaboration with Arca Regler, Germany. These control valves, when used with Forbes Marshall actuators, set a new standard in accuracy and reliability.

    8. 1997 -

      Energy Conservation

      n 1997, backed by specialised experience in energy conservation and process efficiency, gained over the decades, we introduced Consultancy services for layout and detailed engineering of new process plants.

      Effimax, the first boiler efficiency monitoring systh3 was developed in 1998.

    9. 1998 -

      We established

      we established a global presence with setting up of Forbes Marshall Inc. in the United States. Since then, we have established sales, manufacturing and customer support facilities worldwide.An internationally certified flowmeter calibration test rig, the second largest in Asia, was set up by Krohne Marshall in Pune in 2003.

      Forbes Marshall and Codel International UK together in 2006 (2007), collaborated to make a range of pollution monitoring equipment.

      Forbes Marshall Codel incorporated

    11. 2012 -

      Incorporated in a joint venture

      Forbes Solar was incorporated in a joint venture with Azure Earth GmBH, Germany to manufacture a revolutionary solar cogeneration combined heat and power systh3.

    12. 2014 -

      Codel became a part of the Forbes Marshall group.

      We make Continuous h3ission Monitoring Systh3s, dust monitors, gas analyzers, stack h3ission monitors and insitu oxygen analysers which are invaluable in monitoring the combustion process and the level of pollution.Forbes Vyncke, a joint venture with VYNCKE , Belgium established in 2009, began manufacturing boilers, in the range 5 TPH to 30 TPH, for green energy.

    13. 2015

      Forbes Marshall acquired the entire shareholding of its JV partner Spirax, in the steam system business.
