Employment Enhancement Program (CII)

This training is done in association with CII under their Affirmative Action (AA) Initiative. The training comprises of 2-3 weeks of class-room technical sessions on wide range of Products & Systems with thrust on their Industrial applications, followed by 2.5 to 3 months of hands-on work experience in our different manufacturing/functional areas, with guest lectures mostly once a week on various topics including soft/life skills development to widen their overall exposure.

From the first 21 technical batches run since Dec 2011 (12 of which in Control Instrumentation and 9 in Steam Engineering), we have so far recruited around 45 candidates out of total 673 engineers trained

Post Graduate Course in Steam Engineering

This course is meant to enhance the career opportunities of fresh Engineers with extensive training in use of steam in industry. On successfully completing this stringent course, students find themselves equipped with that extra edge for favourable opportunities in steam intensive industries. Industries on their part find trained manpower available for immediate productive openings.

Forbes Marshall and the Center merely act as a catalyst for this desirable exchange. We have so far had 21 batches of 781 engineers, quite a number have been placed with us and many have got placements in organizations like Govind Rubber, Lloyds Insulations, Ramsons Industries. At the end of the course there will be a project presentation and final written examination. Next batch starts : Fri, Sept 07, 2018

5 Day Steam Engineering Program

Five-Day Programme for Working Professionals / Engineers / Managers :- The potential for better Productivity & Profits through effective steam management exists across all plants. However, unleashing this potential requires putting in place an effective energy conservation programme.

This five day workshop is specially designed, combining hands-on time on our unique simulation rigs with relevant industry case studies and relevant theoretical inputs through class room sessions to help you evolve Energy Conservation Measures / Plans for your Plant.

Inplant Training on Steam Engineering Principles & Energy Conservation Potential in Steam Usage

It is now fairly regular for the Center to move over with faculty to the actual user where more engineers are trained in shorter modules on different aspects of steam generation and utilization. These are programmes tailored to suit specific industries outlook to steam usage. The programme is either repeated to different groups in one go or structured in different time frame for the same group. All advantages of Pune programme are built into this except for the live product demo. Use of steam circuit of that particular industry is used to provide hands-on training. These could be of one/two day duration programmes.

Teacher's Training Programme (for Engg. College Faculties)

Specialized Programme for Engineering College Faculty We have felt the huge gap that exists between what we are taught in the colleges and institutes and what one physically faces in the industry. The equipment is different and so are the techniques. In order to bridge this gap to the extent possible, the Center has one programme of three days duration, every year for teachers from engineering colleges. This programme covers all the practical angles to steam knowledge that are required to be clubbed with the theory. The participants have experienced a changed perspective in their teaching skills for key subjects in thermal sciences.

Training on Stack monitors Codel & Liquid Analysers

The objective of this programme is to provide the participants with the independent capability to optimise control systems in the process industry. It is specially designed for hands-on and theoretical input on the range of instrumentation products we specialise in.

Valves & Krohne Products Training

This programme is specially designed for the operation & maintenance of our Valves & Krohne Products. This programme enables one to gain complete knowledge of the products.

Boilers Operation & Maintenance Programme

Forbes Marshall is involved in building solutions to engineering problems concerning Steam Engineering and Control Instrumentation for more than 50 years. It provides comprehensive training programmes on maintenance & servicing of our Boilers .

Our endeavour is to take it beyond product purchase, and strengthen it further by offering to train your instrument technicians and supervisors on how to use our products/systems installed in your site effectively. The intention is to derive maximum benefit by reducing your down-time, and independently carry out maintenance/servicing without any external assistance. This programme can be clubbed with Steam System Products Operation & Maintenance Programme.
