To improve overall steam system performance and reduce fuel costs.
Solution

Replacement of thermodynamic traps on the dryers with Forbes Marshall two orifice float traps and compact module two orifice float traps, as suitable for the application.

Group trapping approach for batch equipment replaced with individual traps.

No steam loss due to trap leakage.

Fuel consumption reduced from 450 imperial gallon per day to 210 imperial gallon per day.

Water consumption brought down to 900 imperial gallon per day from 4000 imperial gallon per day.

Energy savings of USD 96,000 per annum.
