We recently celebrated Beyond Business Week (BBW) at Forbes Marshall’s Chakan facility. BBW is a meaningful initiative conducted thrice a year to encourage members to step out of their everyday roles and engage with our social initiatives.
Through the week, our teams gain a deeper understanding of our impact through volunteering, community immersion, and engaging with our leadership.
In this edition of BBW our volunteers prepared study material for Samvad School, Lonavala, and Manvya Organisation, Mulshi, supporting learning and engagement for children from marginalised communities. This activity was facilitated by Deep Stambh Foundation.
A key highlight of BBW was the immersive field visit to our neighbourhood villages in Khed block of Pune, where a group of members from different functions stayed overnight in the village, and spent time with the community. From attending a Women’s Self-Help Group meeting in a village, interacting with on-ground project teams, to visiting our newly inaugurated community health centre, the experience offered a first-hand insight into the realities, resilience, and aspirations of the people we work with. The group also visited a tribal settlement in a remote village, spent time with families supported through our initiatives, and saw how access to education and livelihood support can shape lives and futures.
The week concluded with a Town Hall by Rati Forbes, specially designed to engage members from functions such as production and maintenance, where many are more comfortable with vernacular languages. During the session, “Uddistampalyadache Samajha Bhhana”, a booklet that offers a glimpse into Forbes Marshall’s social commitment since inception, was released.
At Forbes Marshall, Beyond Business Week serves as a reminder that meaningful change begins with connection, by stepping in, showing up, and being present where it matters most.
