Data Analyst

Role Overview:

The member joining this position will work at an experienced (band/level) and be part of a team of R&D. This team-focused role will involve collaboration and support within a dynamic work environment. Travel may be required to a few regions for discussions with stakeholder/vendors as well as to maintain strong customer relationships. The member will work with various stakeholders, including teams from Digital Business Leaders, Customer Support Division and Branch engineers, ensuring smooth project execution and effective communication to meet company and customer expectations.

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of a role is building, maintaining, and optimizing the infrastructure for data processing and storage, IoT sensor data processing. Analyzing, interpreting, and visualizing data to derive actionable insights.

Technical Skills:

• Programming: Python, SQL, Advanced Excel.
• Big Data Tools: Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka, IoT Sensor Data Processing.
• Visualization Tools: Power BI, Looker, or Matplotlib/Seaborn/Plotly (Python).
• Statistics: Hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and A/B testing.
• Data Warehousing: BigQuery, SQL Server.
• Database Management: Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• ETL/ELT Pipelines: Tools like Apache Nifi, Airflow, or custom Python scripts, Git.
• Cloud Platforms: Google Cloud (e.g., Dataflow, BigQuery).
• APIs and Integration: Building RESTful APIs to integrate systems.

Other Skills:

• Data Modeling: Designing efficient schemas for analytics and applications.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills to collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
• Business Acumen: Understanding domain-specific KPIs and metrics.
• Critical Thinking: Ability to derive insights and solve business problems.
• Reporting: Creating dashboards and presentations.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication for presenting findings to stakeholders

Qualification and Requirements:

• Qualification: B.E in Computer science or IT with related certifications.
• Experience: 2-3 yrs in the field of Data Engineer and Analysis.
• Proven experience handling complex data sets.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and presentable templates, dashboards, graphs etc.
• Team work and collaboration.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies.
