Powering Steam Efficiency: Forbes Marshall’s Energy Conservation Seminar in Thailand

Forbes Marshall hosted a seminar on Energy Conservation in Steam Systems on 17 September 2025, at the Central Place Hotel, Samut Sakhon, Thailand. The seminar welcomed more than fifty participants, primarily from the food & beverage sector, and sparked engaging discussions. Conversations centred around practical challenges in steam leakage, condensate recovery, and flash steam utilisation – issues that directly impact operating costs and plant efficiency. With the majority of industries in Samut Sakhon rooted in food processing, the topic resonated strongly.
The sessions took participants through the entire steam lifecycle, from generation and distribution to utilisation and recovery. Alongside core engineering principles, the team highlighted how digital sustenance services and energy audits can help plants move from reactive fixes to proactive, data-driven decision-making.
Attendees were introduced to:
- CMTD, designed to improve reliability in mainline steam trapping
- FJP, an advanced solution for efficient condensate and flash steam recovery
- MeasureTrol, enabling accurate steam flow measurement and control
A highlight of the seminar was the live operating demonstration video of the FJP system. For many participants, this was the first time they could visualise how the system works in real operating conditions – bridging the gap between concept, animation, and actual plant performance.
The seminar marked another step in Forbes Marshall’s ongoing effort to help industries in Thailand operate more efficiently, sustainably, and reliably – turning everyday steam into long-term savings.
