Recognising the importance of efficient steam management in tea processing, Forbes Marshall conducted a specialised training programme titled “Steam Systems for the Tea Industry” on 9 May 2025 at the Grand Legacy Hotel, Kigali.

This was a milestone moment – the first formal training programme organised by Forbes Marshall in Rwanda, tailored specifically for the country’s leading tea producers. The session focused on resource efficiency and maintaining asset uptime through effective management of boilers and their accessories. Attendees included technical teams and plant engineers from Rwanda’s prominent tea factories. 

Throughout the session, participants gained insights into optimising boiler performance, reducing steam losses, and improving energy utilisation – key aspects for achieving consistent quality in tea production while ensuring sustainability and cost efficiency.
