Back Pressure Regulator
The Forbes Marshall Back Pressure Regulator (BPR) is specifically designed for sampling system applications to ensure accurate, reliable, and stable performance for on-line analyzers by maintaining constant upstream pressure and flow conditions, regardless of system fluctuations. This back pressure regulator is well suited for applications in power and process industries.
Unlike a standard pressure regulator that controls downstream pressure, the a back pressure regulator or a BPR works in a reverse manner to regulate and maintain constant upstream pressure. By holding a constant pressure at the analyzer inlet, it ensures priority sample flow, prevents sample lines from seizing, and avoids false “No Flow” alarms caused by imbalances in flow distribution.
