EffiMax™ for Oil and Gas Fired Boilers
Even though every boiler has a rated efficiency, it is a myth that boilers continue to operate at their rated efficiencies. Our surveys show that if unattended to, boiler efficiency can drop by 5-15%. Plant conditions, operations & maintenance practices and multiple other factors bring down the efficiency of Oil & Gas fired boilers in the real-time.
Bottomline? Every boiler is different and needs customised operating procedures. For Oil & Gas boilers, the fuel cost accounts for 85% of their total lifecycle cost. Even a 1-2% improvement in boiler efficiency can translate into significant fuel savings.
EffiMax monitors and analyses 20+ parameters of the Oil & Gas boilers and generates a detailed analysis using which standard operating procedures can be developed.
EffiMax also adds tremendous value when it comes to identifying trends that bring down boiler efficiency and addressing their root causes.
- Realtime monitoring and reporting of 20+ boiler vitals.
- Online boiler efficiency measurement with break up of losses (as per BS845).
- Performance monitoring through touch screen display as well as remote web based application.

Frequently Asked Questions
The EffiMax gas variant can be configured to read gas flow either as Mass Flow (kg/h) or as Volumetric Flow (m3/h). Operators can set the minimum and maximum ranges for gas flow on the “Range” screen.
If a digital burner ON/OFF signal is unavailable, EffiMax has a provision to detect boiler status using a Fuel Cutoff Value. On the Boiler Data screen, you can set a threshold gas flow value; if the fuel flow drops below this number, the system automatically registers the boiler as OFF.
Yes, the EffiMax 4000 variant includes an FD Fan Control loop. You can populate a “Firing Table” with specific Oxygen set-points for different firing loads (0-100%). The system uses a PID controller to adjust the FD Fan output, ensuring safe and optimized oxygen levels at all times.
