Monitor AMI Turbiwell

Modern Power plants are operated under cyclic or Variable steam loads and controlling water chemistry in such plants is very crutial task. Particularly suspended impurity monitoring is critical during power plant startups to avoid flow assist corrossion (FAC). Thus urbidity in feed water and condensate sample is getting more and more popular among users. This application demand very low range and accurate Turbidity measurement.

AMI Turbiwell is non-contact nephelometer ISO 7027 (EN 27027, DIN 38404) based continuous measurement of turbidity in feedwater.

Key Technical Specs:

  • Measuring Range: 0.000 to 200.0 FNU/NTU.
  • Precision: ±0.003 FNU/NTU or 1% of reading.
  • Optical Method: Nephelometric, ISO 7027 (860 nm near-infrared LED).
  • Sample Flow: Approx. 20-60 L/h.
  • Non-contact turbidimeter: System optics is not in direct contact with sample, no fouling on optical surfaces
  • Suitable for the measurement of liquids of which the turbidity correlates with the concentration of a suspended solid or an emulsified liquid, eg. an oil-water emulsion
  • Precision: ± 0.003 FNU/NTU or 1% of reading
  • Manual or automated draining of the sample chamber
  • Simple programming of all parameters by keypad
  • Electronic record of major process events and calibration data

Variants

Monitor AMI Turbitrace

High-precision nephelometer (0.000 to 100.0 FNU) with an integrated sub-micron particle filter for auto-zeroing.

Monitor AMI Turbitrack

Nephelometer designed for pure water systems with sample pressures up to 10 bar.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the AMI Turbiwell Power avoid sensor fouling?

It uses a non-contact nephelometric design where the light beam hits the water surface from above, meaning no optical lenses ever touch the water.

Does the instrument require frequent recalibration?

No, it is permanently calibrated at the factory with Formazine, and an internal photodiode automatically adjusts for LED aging, eliminating the need for routine field recalibrations.
