Precision Emissions Monitoring for the Most Difficult, Saturated, and High-Temperature Flue Gases
When flue gases are excessively saturated, highly corrosive, or operating at abnormally extreme temperatures, conventional gas conditioning systems frequently fail or demand excessive maintenance. The CODEL GCEM40E hot extractive analyser is exclusively engineered for these difficult applications.
Rather than relying on elaborate moisture removal systems, the GCEM40E extracts the gas via a heated probe and transports it along a heated sample line (up to 180°C) into a dedicated, free-standing cabinet. Inside, the sample is measured directly within a perfectly temperature-controlled, 5-zone heated PTFE-coated stainless steel chamber. This allows for the highly accurate, multi-gas measurement of CO, NO, NO2, NOx, SO2, HCl, CH4, CO2, H2O, and O2 from processes reaching up to 1300°C without the risk of condensation or sample loss.
Industrial Applications of GCEM40E: Engineered for severe-duty applications including Gas Turbines, Crematoria, Steam Boilers (up to 50MW), Thermal Oxidizers, Animal Carcass Incineration, Biomass Boilers, Diesel Engine Sets, and high-temperature Silo Monitoring.
- Hot Extractive Architecture: Analyses the gas while continuously heated, avoiding the high maintenance, water traps, and component loss associated with conventional wet/dry gas conditioning.
- 5-Zone Heated PTFE-Coated Chamber: Maintains ‘perfect’ duct measurement conditions with precise thermal control, preventing corrosive condensation while measuring highly aggressive species like HCl and SO2.
- Automated Audit Gas Verification: Automatically checks and controls the zero calibration point using compressed air/nitrogen, and permits direct injection of bottled span gases for strict environmental auditing.
- Integral O2, Temperature & Pressure Sensing: Automatically corrects and normalises raw process data to standard temperature and pressure (STP) in mg/Nm³ internally, without relying on external control software.
