There is an increased focus on conservation of resources and reducing impact to the environment. Optimising water consumption has a beneficial impact on the environment and, given the high costs of water in Malaysia, considerably reduces operating costs of manufacturing plants. On average, the Forbes Marshall condensate and flash steam recovery system reduces boiler fresh water consumption by 95%. This results in a saving of fuel and reduces the carbon footprint.
Studies across plants in Malaysia have shown that the cost of steam is up to 20% higher than benchmark. Our teams conduct in-depth surveys of plants to provide the best suited solution, and can contribute to bringing down the average cost of steam generation across plants from 0.10MYR/Ton to 0.08MYR/Ton, i.e. by 20%.
