BM26A-7000
The KROHNE BM26A-7000 Magnetic Level Indicator is a heavy-duty bypass chamber engineered to safely deliver continuous level and interface measurement in the harshest high-temperature and high-pressure industrial environments. The BM26A-7000 is built from premium materials like Hastelloy® C276 or Inconel® 625, it easily functions operating in extreme conditions reaching +400°C and incredibly high pressures up to 400 barg.
For corrosive processes operating under pressure, it offers a dedicated PTFE-lined variant (rated to +200°C and 40 barg). Designed with a specially calibrated float, it can measure fluids with densities as low as 370 kg/m³ and accurately detect the interface between two different liquids. The BM26A-7000 guarantees failsafe local monitoring on critical oil/water separators and feedwater heaters, seamlessly integrating with the LT40 transmitter for remote 4-20 mA process control.

Frequently Asked Questions
The standard metallic BM26A-7000 Magnetic Level Indicator withstands absolute extreme limits of 400 barg process pressure and temperatures up to +400°C. The PTFE-lined version is limited to 40 barg and +200°C.
Yes, the KROHNE BM26A-7000 offers a dedicated PTFE-lined measuring chamber version specifically designed for highly corrosive acids inside pressurized tanks up to 40 barg.
Yes, the BM26A-7000 supports both total level and interface measurement. It utilizes a specially weighted float designed to sit precisely at the boundary between two liquids with a minimum density difference of 100 kg/m³.
If you put thermal insulation around the extreme-temperature measuring chamber, you must not cover the housing of the optional reed-chain level transmitter or limit switch. You must leave at least 15 mm of empty space to prevent severe heat damage to the electronics.
The rugged metal and borosilicate glass design of the BM26A-7000 is completely maintenance-free. Ensure that the high-pressure fluid does not contain magnetic particles larger than 0.05 mm to maintain magnetic coupling strength.
